BazuSports is a quickly growing software company that delivers a race platform that enables live scoring and real-time services as well as race management solutions for timers and race organizers. ChronoTrack Systems Europe successfully hosted the 3rd European Timers conference in the beautiful city of Berlin (Germany). We were pleased to see so many familiar faces but also many new faces, with over 40 attendees from 13 European countries representing 28 companies the conference was well attended by both current as prospective ChronoTrack users.

The highlights were most certainly the upcoming release of new products and developments, that we are currently developing but also the “ChronoTrack Happy Hour” at a beautiful typical Berlin bar was well appreciated!

ChronoTrack Systems and iSports are excited to announce their partnership has reached the next pinnacle. Together, they have secured the timing services contract for the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore to be held in December of 2011. With an estimated 65,000 participants expected to fill the streets of Singapore, preparations are underway for bringing the industry standard timing solution to the proud runners.

In 2009, Integrated Sports Solutions became the first ChronoTrack certified timer in Asia. In the years following, iSports has timed over a quarter million people. Using ChronoTrack Systems, iSports has developed a strong reputation throughout their region by bringing an exciting out of the box approach to take each event the extra mile.

“When iSports introduced ChronoTrack to Singapore and Malaysia in 2009 and 2010 respectively, skeptic organizers questioned the unheard-of ChronoTrack system and were reluctant to change. In a short amount of time organizers began to take notice and accept ChronoTrack when we timed small scale events with great success. Today, iSports has timed some of the largest running events in Singapore and Malaysia. Such success highlights the great partnership we have with ChronoTrack” added Jeffrey Foo.

The race is organized by the Singapore Sports Council. The SSC was formed in 1973 with the hope of bringing more active sports to the nation. They have done just that by developing the marquee running event in Singapore. Traditionally, the event has featured three races, with unique starting lines and routes for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K. New for 2011, the SSC has added a 5k Fun Run to increase the race experience for participant’s families and enthusiasts of all ages. Not forgetting about the future of the sport, the SSC will also host the Kids Dash providing an opportunity for children to showcase their talent over the weekend. The Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore will be an action packed event for everyone involved with the festivities on December 4th.

ChronoTrack Systems Europe continues to work hard to develop a strong footprint throughout the European running community and took a big step in doing so by timing the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin. The world’s largest all-women event used the ChronoTrack B-Tag as it’s timing solution of choice. The incredibly successful race in Dublin was the largest ChronoTrack B-Tag race thus far in the European market. ChronoTrack certified timer Tom Last has been working diligently to raise awareness throughout Europe and was the timer tasked to provide a timing solution for the more than forty thousand registered participants. “Using the ChronoTrack B-Tag enabled us to manage the logistics for Dublin with ease. The ability to print and encode tags to our specifications meant that changes were made very rapidly. The B-Tag proved extremely effective and the disposability of the bib and tag solution meant massively reduced workload for the event post-race. Production of individual times was rapid and accurate” said Last owner of TDL Event Services www.tdl.ltd.uk.

The ChronoTrack B-Tag was embraced by the race competitors who had traveled to Dublin from all over the world to compete in the prestigious event. “The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon, now in its 29th year, is one of the biggest all women’s single start 10Km road races in the world, with more than 40,000 entering. We were delighted at the efficiency of TDL Event Services and their ChronoTrack technology added Race Director Pat Healy, we decided to use the new B-Tag to record times for all 39,057 starters on June 6th 2011. The B-tag is integrated into the race number, and this greatly simplifies the process of distribution”

Started in 1983, the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon provides a fun opportunity for ladies to get together and share a common goal or purpose. Annually women work hard to complete the event in order to secure one of the races prestigious commemorative medals and ribbons! From it’s inception in 1983 through 2010 over three quarters of a million participants have taken to the streets of Dublin to showcase their fitness. The race continues to grow with the 2011 event marking the fifth consecutive year that more than forty thousand participants have signed up!
