Evansville, IN (May 19, 2009) – The GO! St. Louis Marathon chose to use ChronoTrack Systems’ new disposable event timing solution. ChronoTrack helped the event increase efficiency and provided fast, reliable and accurate results.GO! St. Louis Marathon was looking for a solution that would be both runner and event friendly while providing cutting edge technology. After viewing multiple timing systems GO! St. Louis Marathon selected the disposable D-tag from ChronoTrack Systems.
“With ChronoTrack’s new technology it is much easier for a large race to be timed using the D-Tag, than it is with the chips and having the chip collection and removal,” said Nancy Lieberman, Event Director for GO! St. Louis Marathon, and the 2009 Trailblazer Award Winner, presented by Women’s Running Magazine. “To alleviate that one major step of stopping and returning the chip was major. With the D-Tag it was a far less intrusive way to be timed.”
ChronoTrack Systems also helped event staff and volunteers improve services to more than 15,000 registrants during packet pick-up. ChronoTrack’s D-tag is attached directly to the race bib making the logistical and organizational headache of distributing thousands of timing devices disappear.
“Having the D-tag attached directly to a runners Bib made packet pick-up a one-stop-shop,” said Lieberman. “The ease of it was terrific and very smooth, as apposed to having the bib and the chip in two separate pieces where error can occur. We loved everything about it.”
ChronoTrack’s D-Tag technology was developed by getting input directly from the top timers and event organizers in the world creating a new industry-standard in timing. ChronoTrack Systems provides easy-to-use functionality that streamline the event timing process, resulting in successful events and happy runners.
“We loved it! It was very successful, and we are happy with went with ChronoTrack Systems,” said Lieberman. “We loved it so much and because it was so successful we plan on using ChronoTrack at the 1st MLB All-Star 5k run later this year and at next years GO! St. Louis Marathon.”
